About Me
I am located in England, UK. It's always nice to put a face to a name, so here's a photo of me at a conference in London. Do feel free to say hello if you see me around!
If you need to contact me directly, my primary email address is displayed below. Please use this address for general contact, bug reports, technical support and anything else:
While I find enough time to read all emails, I cannot promise to be able to reply to all of them. Despite this, I do appreciate your emails. If you would like to arrange a media interview or IRC consultancy work, please include the words "Interview request" in your email subject to jump to the top of the queue, but please do not abuse this.
I tend to ignore emails from "free" email addresses such as hotmail and gmail, unless they look really important. If your email is important, consider using a real email address. You don't have to worry about me spamming you.
I cannot guarantee timely technical support for use of the software under the free GPL license. You are advised to consider purchasing a commercial license if you require any technical support.
If you wish to commission me to write a custom piece of software for your company (either standalone or based on one of the tools found on this site), or to give a talk, just contact me to ask for further details.
Talk to me
You can now talk to me using a microphone and headphones/speakers with Skype.
You can download Skype for free, add my username to your contact list and
talk to me whenever I'm around. My username is jibbler
. Please
leave your contact details in a voice message if I am not about and I'll
try to get back to you.
Forums
DeadEd has kindly set up an off-site forum for people to discuss things about PircBot (or anything else on this site). Feel free to use the forums. If they prove to be popular, then we will improve them. DeadEd has used PircBot to make a number of IRC bots for gaming clans.
IRC
There is an IRC channel dedicated to discussing the programs on this web site. This is usually inhabited by PircBot developers and myself, but it can also be used to discuss anything else. Join us at irc://irc.freenode.net/jibble or connect your IRC client to irc.freenode.net and join the channel #jibble. My nickname in this channel is "Jibbler". Please use email if you need to contact me directly, as I am not always active in this channel. Even jibblers need to get some sleep sometimes.
